The Times today has an article called "wimpy Christians urged to become macho male". It focuses on John Eldredge's book "Wild at Heart". which declares "A battle to fight. An adventure to live. A beauty to rescue. This is what a man longs for. This is what makes him come alive. There is something fierce, passionate and wild in the heart of every man." no mention of sex then. Oh and by the way true maleness is found in characters like Henry V and William Wallace. I am not so sure about this "deep and holy goodness of masculine aggression." he talks about. maybe I should read the book or wait for the wild at heart weekend experience! on a plus he may have a point about some church leaders in the good old c of e discovering a wild side and embracing risk....
